This year's theme

Every edition of Peace & Love brings a new theme. The theme is closely tied with our message. This year we are booking our acts with Time for Peace in mind, and hereby we present our thoughts on the theme of Peace & Love 2013:

Time for Peace

Peace on earth, is it still possible to wish for that?
Today it might feel somewhat naive and even completely impossible to talk about peace and unity. But we have to do it.
And it’s not enough to simply talk about it. We have to act.
We can start by looking into ourselves and how we feel. How is it like in our own environment, in our city, in our country?

The question we have to ask ourselves is how we define peace, since peace is about so many different things:
Firstly, it’s about making an end to armed conflicts. But it’s also about fighting for other people’s rights and for them to have a good life, both globally and at home.

To expose neither children nor adults to violence and to not violate people or animals rights.

It’s about not destroying the environment, because everything is linked. Take care of the earth, and take care of those living on it.

To say no to racism and xenophobia. To see that differences make us stronger and help us develop. To not be afraid of what’s different but rather to offer a hand to those who need it.

War, violence, pollution and racism are for real and they take victims every day.

We believe that peace starts inside every human being, and we believe that every single person on earth can change the ways of the world.

With fairness, equality and understanding we build a peaceful world.

So, now it’s time: Time for Peace.
