Seventeen people brought to the hospital

Update: The total number of people that was admitted to Falu Lasarett yesterday (June 17th) for observation was 19. Twelve returned to the Festival area late last night. Seven stayed at the Hospital over night for observation.

Altogether 17 people were brought to the hospital in realtion to the lightning strike that occured today at 3PM. All of those who were injured made their own way to the Peace & Love First Aid-team. No one is currently considered to be seriously injured. The 15 people were then brought by ambulance to Falu Lasarett. When they are released from the hospital Peace & Love will take care of them and offer transport.

A total of 19 people were brought to Falu lasarett yesterday in relation to the lightning strike. 7 of these were kept over night for observation 




At the hospital EKG and other tests are being taken.

All relatives to these 19 have been contacted.

One of the vicitms works for Peace & Love.

The Polics has now started a routine investigation dealing with accidents in the work-place.

People who wittnessed the incident and were shocked have now been looked after by the Peace & Love First Aid-team and Soul Care.

General tips during lightning storms:

  • Try to get indoors as soon as possible
  • Don't stand close to one another and don't hold each others hands
  • Don't speak on the phone
  • If you find yourself in an exposed location it may be advisable to squat close to the ground, with hands on knees and with head tucked between them. Try to touch as little of the ground with your body as possible, do not lie down on the ground.
